Heroes at Home
The Heroes at Home Financial Event is a fully sponsored program for USAF families that provides audiences with an event that is entertaining, engaging and educational. Ellie Kay is known as “America’s Family Financial Expert” and she provides financial education that can help families pay off debt, build up savings and learn ways to get more for less.
The show features four expert speakers*, a high-energy emcee, and over 100 door prizes. It lasts 2 hours, which includes a 30-minute meet and greet and autograph session with the speakers after the event.
Meet the Founder
Ellie Kay is the best-selling author of sixteen books with one million books in print. She has been a media guest on CNBC, ABC’s Nightline, MSNBC, Neil Cavuto and Fox News. She is the founder and CEO of Heroes at Home, 501(c)(3), dedicated to bringing financial literacy education to military members around the world.
As the founder of the Heroes at Home world tour, her team has visited 6 countries, 35 bases with 55 presentations. On her tours, she provides financial education to assist with military readiness. For her efforts, the Army presented her with the Dr. Mary Walker Medal and the Air Force gave her a flight in an F15E Strike Eagle. On this flight, she logged 1.5 hours of flight time, and pulled 7 g’s with aileron rolls and 500 foot low levels. Her fighter pilot husband, Lt. Col Bob Kay, was proud to report that “she didn’t get sick.”
She is currently an Admissions Liaison Officer for the United Air Force Academy and a frequent Congressional speaker who has contributed to 300+ students receiving appointments to service Academies, including sons who have graduated from USNA, USAFA and USMA. Her civilian children received degrees from MBI, Columbia, Stanford and UTA. Mrs. Kay holds a BA from CCU.
Ellie Kay serves as a Presidential Appointee to the Selective Service Committee, and a Congressional appointee to the 27th Congressional District’s All Academies Admissions Panel.
Her favorite roles include being a mom to her many children and a Gaga to 14 grandchildren.
